Villa Maria College is pleased to announce the student Animation screenings on May 9 and 10. The Sophomore Animation Screening will be held Thursday, May 9 at the Villa Maria College student center social hall with a reception beginning at 6 p.m. and a screening beginning at 7 p.m. The Junior and Senior Animation Screening will take place on Friday, May 10 at the Market Arcade Film Arts Centre in Buffalo, N.Y. The reception begins at 6 p.m. and the screening begins at 7 p.m. Both events are FREE and open to the public.
The Sophomore screening debuts, short animated films created by second year students in Villa’s Animation program. The Junior and Senior screening will showcase a selection of short animated films created by juniors and seniors in Villa Maria College’s Animation program using a cross-section of animation styles and techniques including hand-drawn 2D animation, 3D computer animation, as well as stop-motion animation. All films are created by students, from initial script, to animation, to final edit.
Villa Maria College is a private, co-educational Catholic college specializing in the applied arts and music.
