Applications for panelists are now being accepted for VillaCon 2023. Register by January 15, 2023; applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. If you are selected as a panelist, a member of the VillaCon planning committee will contact you in late January/early February 2023.

Each panel will run for 45-minutes, with an additional 15-minutes allotted for a Q&A session
VillaCon 2022 Panelists and Topics:
Don’t Break Anything, presented by Jake Steinbroner – in the Recital Hall, 6-8 PM, Ages 18+
Don’t Break Anything is an hour-long talk show and comedy panel about the worst garbage you can imagine. We’ve got everything from breakdowns of the iconic “what’s the deal with airline food” joke, to an in-depth playlist of the worst music you’ve ever heard.
Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition, presented by Eddie Mas – in Room 101, 10-11:30 AM
In this panel, attendees will be introduced to new and experienced table-top roleplaying guests and learn how to make a character for the popular game Dungeons and Dragons. Attendees can look forward to playable races, classes, and ability scores while learning how to make their characters with a variety of dice. Towards the end of the panel, attendees can participate freely in a one-shot fantasy game where they will be able to practice what they have learned as their newly-created character.
Evolution of an Idea: Will Power the Movie – in the Recital Hall, 10-11 AM
In Evolution of an Idea, panelist Colin Clayton will share the evolutions of his original character, Will Power, from creation to present day. He’ll share a bit about his educational background in animation and how he began his own animated web series, “Will Power Versus the Minions of Despair,” and the process of turning it into a full-length film. Clayton also plans to discuss Blender, an in-depth and free 3D animation software that attendees can use on their own.
Furtastic Fursuits, presented by Alex Berry – in the Recital Hall, 1-2 PM
Do you want to cosplay as fantastical creatures, or even your own original furry characters? Then this panel is for you! Learn about how to bring your characters to life through the art of “fursuits,” whether it be performing in them, commissioning them, or making them yourself! All aspects of this unique form of costuming are covered in this interactive presentation, as well as live in-person examples.
The Come Up, presented by David Stanfield – in the Recital Hall, 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM, Ages 18+
Learn more about The Come Up, a feature film that was shot right here in Buffalo, New York. The film’s trailer will debut during this panel, and you’ll have the opportunity to hear from the director and some of the cast.
