PLAY/GROUND is an immersive art exhibit in which 29 artists collaborated to create a series of immersive art experiences meant to engage the senses, expand minds, and inspire imaginations.
Professor of Photography Michael Bosworth will be one of the featured artists with work in the PLAY/GROUND exhibit, which opens next week. His work entitled “In the lull of the waves on the low lee shore,” is a light projecting sculptural installation. Villa adjunct Art faculty Kyle Butler will also have work on display as part of the show.
In its inaugural year, PLAY/GROUND takes place in the former Medina High School, in the same spot where the original Victorian-era Medina Academy building once stood. The building was well loved as a school until the early 1990s when it was it was acquired by a local church and used for varying community purposes.
PLAY/GROUND opens on Friday, October 12 and runs through Sunday, October 14. The exhibit is located at 324 Catherine Street, in Medina.
