Graphic Design Students Win in Portfolio Review

Two scholarships were awarded to Villa students at the Advertising Club of Buffalo Student Portfolio Review event on Saturday, April 12 in the Villa Maria College Library.

Graphic Design students Grace Gruarin ’16 won second place, and Carl Hunley Jr. ’17 tied for honorable mention. The first,  third place and other honorable mention winners were students from RIT. There were  30 students at the event, which also included entries from Buffalo State College, University at Buffalo, Daemen Collge, and Canisius College.

Agency art directors, academic professors, successful freelancers and many other experienced professionals reviewed student portfolios to give students feedback on their samples and presentation.
