Todd Capron Box Lunch Lecture “Designing for Your Market”

The lecture will focus on the differences in design approach and processes in the High End Residential, Hospitality, and Retail furniture markets.\

Todd Capron is an American furniture designer with over 20+ years of experience designing and fabricating furniture. Born and raised in Denver, CO he moved across the country to earn his BFA in Furniture Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2000. After graduation migrated to NYC and began his career in the High-End Residential market working at the Design and Decoration building in Mid-Town Manhattan. He quickly branched out into the Hospitality and Retail markets working with brands such as Kimpton, W Hotels, Marriott, 21C, and Ace designing furniture and accessories for boutique properties around the globe. As Senior Manager of Special projects for West Elm, he helped to launch the Williams Sonoma Business to Business division, as well as created a state-of-the-art prototyping facility in Industry City Brooklyn known as the Makers Studio. Todd currently resides in Buffalo, NY and is Principal of Todd Capron Design.
