“Elegy” Exhibition Opening Reception

Please join us on October 14th for the opening reception of the “Elegy” Exhibition by Richard Christian – one of our longstanding adjuncts.

“The great god Pan is dead!” The old gods of art, as in so many other things, are being replaced by the new art gods: the gods of identity politics, of social media fast art and NFT’s, of political activism, of celebrity cooption and corporate commodification of art. This is supplanting the old work that tried to address the self, shepherding others along that journey by tracking the thoughtful relationship between form and content, allowing for personal development and spiritual growth. But these things are gone. Let’s remember them together now before they are forgotten forever.”

The exhibition will be on view from October 3rd – 27th.
