OTA Program Advocacy Event: Implementing Health Literacy in the Community

Come down to the Russell J. Salvatore Commons to speak to the occupational therapy assistant students about implementing health literacy in our community. Here the OTA students will present medication management skills, “Show, Tell, Do” methods. Learn how to advocate for yourself and others in a medical setting. This is beneficial to understand medical diagnosis, medications, symptoms, and how to interpret home instructions from your medical providers.
