Buffalo, NY – Villa Maria College will host the International Interior Design Association’s New York Chapter for a panel event on Thursday, January 28, 2016. The event, Buffalo City Center: Designing Your Future, will run from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Panelists are set to discuss presentation skills, selling ideas, prepar
ing for job interviews, what to expect in the interior design work place, and dressing for success. Panelists include:

  • Laura Shoemaker, NCIDQ, Facilities Planner, Roswell Park Cancer Institute
  • Kathy McGhee, Design Manager, Prentice Office Environments
  • Roxanne Button, AIA, MRAIC, LEED AP, CSI, Principal/Owner, Design Synergies Architecture P.C.
  • Katherine Gunsolus, President, Grassroots Contract Interiors

“We are pleased to host the International Interior Design Association and the esteemed panelists for this event at Villa Maria College,” said Sandra Reicis, Associate Professor, Interior Design at Villa. “It gives our students an incredible opportunity to hear exactly what they need to focus on in order to take the next step into the professional Interior Design world after college.”

The event will take place in Villa Maria’s library, located at 240 Pine Ridge Road, Buffalo, NY 14225. Tickets are free for IIDA members, students, educators, the board and event committee. Non-members can purchase tickets for $5.
