Choosing the right college is one of your biggest decisions in high school. It’s about more than just picking a major; it’s also about finding a place that supports your goals, fuels your passions, and feels like home. You want to be part of a community that sees and helps you reach your potential. At Villa Maria College, students do more than just earn degrees. Our students build confidence, develop critical skills, and prepare for meaningful careers in a welcoming, creative environment. So, what makes Villa special?
Diverse Academic Opportunities
Villa offers a range of academic programs designed to prepare students for creative and in-demand careers. With 21 bachelor’s and eight associate degree programs, you’ll find pathways in everything from graphic design to PTA to criminal justice. These programs are housed within six academic departments: Digital Media Arts, Fine Arts & Design, Health Sciences, Humanities & Social Sciences, Music, and Natural Sciences & Professional Studies. Whether you’re passionate about helping others, telling stories through art and media, or solving complex problems, Villa’s hands-on, career-focused curriculum helps you apply what you learn in real-world settings.
Close-Knit Community with Plenty of Support
One of the things that makes Villa stand out is its small size, and that’s a good thing. With a student-to-faculty ratio of eight to 1, you won’t be sitting in large lecture halls with hundreds of other students. Instead, you’ll get to know your professors and they’ll learn about your interests, strengths, and goals. Faculty at Villa are not just teachers; they’re also mentors who are deeply invested in your success.
Support extends far beyond the classroom. Students can get involved in more than 20 clubs and organizations, building friendships and leadership skills along the way. When it comes to wellness and academic support, Villa has dedicated resources like The Care Center and the Student Success Center, which provide both mental health counseling and academic coaching, respectively. From career services that prepare you for the job market to campus ministry that supports your spiritual journey, Villa ensures you never feel like just a number.
Modern Facilities that Inspire
At Villa, your learning environment is just as important as your education. Our campus features cutting-edge facilities, including the Digital Media Arts Center (DMAC) and the newly renovated Scott Bieler Center for Academic Excellence. Both spaces are equipped with the latest technology and tools to help students bring their ideas to life and excel in their studies. Our Commons area, which underwent major transformation efforts in recent years, provides a welcoming space to relax and connect with classmates. Student residents live at Collegiate Village, located less than three miles from campus. Collegiate Village features sought-after amenities like a pool, gym, and furnished apartments, plus transportation shuttles and rideshare credits.
Affordable Education that Opens Doors
We know that cost is a barrier for many students, and this is especially true for small private colleges. At Villa, we never want expenses to be what holds individuals back from getting an education and bettering themselves. That’s why we are so committed to making our small, private institution accessible and affordable for all. We offer more than 24 types of merit-based, endowed scholarships to help students from all backgrounds afford a high-quality education. All textbooks and course supplies are completely covered, saving students thousands of dollars. For eligible high schoolers, we offer a path to earn real college credits for free or at discounted costs through our Dual Enrollment and High School Plus programs.
