The Interior Design Student Exhibit opens this Friday, March 24, 2017 and you are cordially invited to join our faculty and students in celebration of their hard work. The reception begins at 5:00 p.m. and ends around 7:00 p.m.
The exhibit will display student work from all levels of the program. The freshman have an exhibit in the Matrix Room, where everyone can participate in voting for the Freshman Best of Show. This year, the lucky winner will receive a table-top drafting table courtesy of Seneca Blueprint. The sophomores, juniors, and seniors will have their work displayed in the Paul William Beltz Family Art Gallery.
The work will be juried by local design professionals, including members of the Interior Design Advisory Council, the International Interior Design Association, the American Society of Interior Designers and the Interior Design Association of WNY. The distinguished students, selected by the jury, will be honored with special prizes, provided by our generous sponsors including Eaton Office Supply, Prentice Office Environments, Millington Lockwood and Norman Cramer Furniture + Design.
This event is also the largest fundraiser for the student organization, the IN club. The IN club is an IIDA Campus Center and an ASID Chapter Club. They are active in community events including Junior League of Buffalo, Habitat for Humanity, Special Spaces and Festival of Trees to benefit the John R. Oshei Children’s Hospital. Funds raised support these community activities and other student led initiatives such as the Box Lunch Lecture Series. They will have a Basket Auction as well as their INDiY (interior design do-it-yourself) Boutique.
