American Rescue Plan Act of 2021

The federal government has provided another round of monetary relief to college students through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 that we are calling ARPA. This is similar to the funding we awarded last year through the CARES Act.  Villa Maria College will distribute these funds in an effort to assist students who have experienced a financial hardship due to the Coronavirus. The application period to receive funds through the College will range from February 14 to March 4.

Students can apply for funding on February 14; applications will be accepted through March 4, 2021.  The following amounts are set by the College:

  • Full time Pell eligible students – $1,250
  • Full time non-Pell eligible students – $625
  • Part time Pell eligible students – $750
  • Part time non-Pell eligible students – $375

Students who previously received CARES Act awards are eligible for funding in this round. Awards will be distributed either by applying it to student accounts, or by payment via check or ACH deposit. Students may choose to use the money given to them from the ARPA funding however they desire and do not need to provide information about this.

The College encourages students to apply this award to their student account.

Please contact the Office of Financial Aid with questions at 716-961-1849 or stop by Felician Hall.
