The student body at Villa Maria College is amazing. We’re not caught up in silly segregations based on popularity or hobbies. Everyone gets along—the atmosphere is very welcoming and warm. We are like a giant family.

Congrats to William Ankarberg (🥇) & Laila Adeyola (🥈) (both freshmen!!) who earned the top spots in @aaf_buffalo`s annual Don Nichols Scholarship Competition. 👏🏽 2024 is the 10th consecutive year in which a graphic design student from Villa has won first prize. 😏

Get out of the classroom & into the game! ⚾️ Senior Bre Marchewka is getting the last of her internship hours in at the ballpark, where she`s working in the marketing & promotions department. 🏟️ She`s one of the very first faces you`ll see upon entering Sahlen Field because fan engagement is one of her top priorities as an intern. 🧢 Bre reported that her first few weeks have been amazing -- full of learning experiences & new friends, some of whom happen to have horns. 🦬

Buffalo`s Poet Laureate & head of Get Fokus`d Productions Aitina Fareed-Cooke is now an artist-in-residence at Villa Maria! 🎨 Our partnership provides our Digital Media & Communications students the opportunity to aid Get Fokus`d in rolling out their digital marketing plan for their 2024 “Tales from the Porch IV" series...and so much more. ✨

The 2023 WNY American Advertising Awards were purple & pink. This year, they`ll be blue & green! We`re excited to transform campus into Camp Wannawinanaddy tonight! Congratulations again to Kelsey Sikora, `23, who won Student Best in Show last year & Lindsay Neilson, `21, who won the Future Star Award. (And a whole bunch of other awards, too.) 🤩✨
