When you apply to Villa Maria College, you’ll be assigned your own admission counselor who will work one-on-one with you to answer your questions and help you make the right choice for your education and career goals. Our financial aid staff is also ready to help you understand your options and guide you through the financial aid process.

Send Us Your Transcripts

Students transferring from other institutions must meet Villa Maria College’s admission requirements. Transcripts can be mailed, emailed or faxed to Villa Maria College. Our fax number is (716) 896-0705, and our email address is [email protected].

  • Official transcripts of all previous college study for college transfer credit must be submitted to the Director of Enrollment Management prior to acceptance.
  • Transfer students with more than 24 completed college hours are NOT required to submit a high school transcript, with the exception of applicants to the Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
  • Courses with a grade of S (satisfactory) or P (pass) may be accepted, but are not counted in the quality point average.
  • Courses completed at other institutions with a grade of C or above are accepted for credit if applicable to the chosen program of study. Grades of C- or below are not eligible for transfer credit.
  • Art students may be required to submit an appropriate art portfolio to support any letter grade they have earned. Their portfolio must be accepted by the Art department in order for that letter grade to transfer.
  • Transfer students must arrange for immunization records from previous institutions to be forwarded to the Health Services Office.
  • Transfer credits from Bryant and Stratton College are limited to courses taken after 2003.

Send Us Your Test Results

Mail or fax your test results from the SAT or ACT. Though this is not a requirement for admission, these results will be used as an aid for course placement and scholarship consideration.

Set Up An Interview

If you have not been interviewed by an admission counselor, please schedule an appointment by calling (716) 961-1805. A formal interview with our admission staff is encouraged. For many academic areas, a program-specific interview or audition is also required.

Submit A Personal Statement

Please submit a one-page personal statement that:

  • States why you are interested in pursuing a college degree, and;
  • Describes how your strengths and qualities will help you succeed at Villa Maria College.

Your Timeline

There are a lot more steps than just applying to get ready for college. The timeline below can help you schedule when to get your materials together for a seamless transition to Villa.



  • Schedule a campus visit or attend an upcoming Open House.
  • Submit your application online or in person at
  • Meet with an admissions counselor to discuss your goals and enrollment information.



  • Art and music students pursuing a bachelor’s degree must contact Admissions to schedule a required portfolio review or audition.
  • Students pursuing an associate degree in the Physical Therapist Assistant program must contact Admissions to schedule a required on-campus interview as part of the application process.
  • Parents and/or guardians must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for financial aid at Villa Maria College. Filing the FAFSA online ensures the fastest processing of your application. Visit FAFSA’s website at for additional information.



  • Financial Aid award letters are sent out beginning March 1.
  • Students pursuing degrees in Art, Music or in the Physical Therapist Assistant program who have not yet scheduled their required interviews, auditions or portfolio reviews must do so prior to May 1.
  • Fall Semester Registration (May).



  • Contact Admissions or Financial Aid to ensure that all documentation related to your enrollment is submitted/received before the first day of classes (late August).
