Spring 2022 FAQs

By January 13, 2022Press Release

Villa Maria College’s Spring 2022 semester begins on Tuesday, January 18! Below are the answers to some FAQs that may help you prepare for the start of classes next week.

What is the College doing to protect students from COVID-19?

Villa Maria College continues to take the Coronavirus pandemic very seriously. The safety of our students and the entire College community remains the top priority. That said, we are committed to providing students with in-person learning and an authentic college experience.

Masks are mandatory: All students, faculty, staff, and guests will be required to wear a mask that full covers their mouth and nose while inside any building on campus. The College strongly recommends the use of an N95 mask. These policies apply to everyone, regardless of vaccination status.

Social distancing: The College strongly recommends everyone maintain at least 3 feet of social distancing while on campus, and up to 6 feet if possible. Maintaining a safe distance from others is the responsibility of each individual. Students, faculty, staff, and campus guests are asked to use their best judgement and to be respectful of others at all times.

Health screening form: If you are feeling unwell, stay home and complete the health screening form, available at Villa.edu/screening. This form is also emailed to your Villa account daily. After you complete the form, a College contact tracer will call you to discuss next steps.

All information about the Coronavirus as it relates to Villa Maria College, including the complete COVID-19 policy, can be found on Villa.edu/Coronavirus.

Is the College providing masks again this semester?

Villa Maria College has a limited number of N95 masks that will be distributed to students, faculty, and staff throughout the first two weeks of the semester. They can be picked up in the book distribution center during its normal hours of operation.

What happens if I see another student is not wearing a mask?

Students who do not comply may receive a student conduct violation. Non-compliance can be reported anonymously here: https://www.villa.edu/campus-life/campus-security/anonymous-reporting.

Is the COVID-19 vaccination and/or Booster Shot Required?

Villa Maria is an educational institution that teaches science and critical thinking. While the College does not require the vaccine and/or booster at this time, we strongly encourage all members of the College community to do their part and get the vaccine and booster if they are able.

Student-athletes are required to be fully vaccinated and, if eligible, boosted to participate in intercollegiate sports.

All information about the Coronavirus as it relates to Villa Maria College, including the complete COVID-19 policy, can be found on Villa.edu/Coronavirus.
