Become a Physical Therapist Assistant, and See Where Your Talent Can Take You
Do you want to help people overcome the physical obstacles that keep them from living their best lives? Want to earn an above average starting salary? Want to do it all right here in Western New York? You can do all of this and more in Villa’s CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
The faculty members and my classmates in the PTA program at Villa have been extremely supportive, patient, and friendly through the duration of my time here. Each one of us is valued for our unique strengths and allowed to grow as students to build our professional cornerstones on what we are interested in. We have had an opportunity to experience various Physical Therapist Assistant settings throughout our internships that have allowed us to appreciate how diverse the Physical Therapy “umbrella” is. This has helped lead me to a career in an environment that I am very excited to be employed in and think that I can contribute a lot of positive attributes to the patients, my co-workers, and to the success of the organization as a whole. – Alicia Twichell, PTA, 2017
Villa’s One-of-a-Kind PTA Environment
Students enrolled in Villa Maria College’s Physical Therapist Assistant program can expect a 12:1 student-to-faculty ratio in classrooms and a 15:1 student-to-faculty ratio in labs. This means that students have their individual education needs met, and you don’t have to worry about not having immediate access to any of the resources you need. Our campus may be small, but that doesn’t limit our students. Our PTA students have exclusive access to everything they need to prepare for a career in their field: two labs that are stocked with gait devices, exercise equipment, state-of-the-art physical agents and more. Our campus even houses a long-term care facility that is staffed by PTA students looking to gain additional hands on experience.
