Villa Maria College Office of Students with Disabilities presents Dr. Jane Thierfeld Brown, as she leads a pair of professional workshops for faculty and staff, aimed at developing strategies for assisting students on the Autism spectrum with internship and career searches.

Dr. Jane Thierfeld Brown is the Director of Students Services at the University of Connecticut School of Law.

The workshops, one at 10:00 a.m. focusing on classroom techniques, and another at 1:00 p.m. focusing on skills for service providers, will be 90 minutes long, and are open to all higher education professionals.

Dr. Jane Thierfeld Brown is the Director of Students Services at the University of Connecticut School of Law and has worked in Disability Services for 33 years. She is also co-director of College Autism Spectrum, an independent organization of professionals whose purpose is to help students with autism find the right college and build work skills. Dr. Brown’s research interests include students with autism in higher education, and she is a frequent keynote speaker at conferences on autism. Visit her website at CollegeAutismSpectrum.com.
