Tuesday, April 8 Philip Terman author of The Torah Garden will hold a reading and lead a workshop for students at Villa Maria College. The reading is open to the public, and will take place at 9:45 am in the Recital Hall on campus.

An award winning poet, Terman’s other books of poetry include Rabbis of the Air (2007), Book of the Unbroken Days (2005) andThe House of Sages (1998). He has been published in His poems  many journals and anthologies including Poetry, the Georgia Review,the Kenyon Review, the Forward, The Autumn House Anthology of Contemporary Poetry, and Blood to Remember: American Poets on the Holocaust.    

Currently Terman teaches creative writing and literature at Clarion University of Pennsylvania, where he directs the visiting writers’ program. He is a co-director of the Chautauqua Writers’ Festival and contributing editor for poetry at the journal Chautauqua.
