Professor Cynthia Mohr has taught in Oregon, Kansas, Tennessee and the University of North Texas before joining the faculty at the Santa Reparata International School of Art in Florence, Italy . Certified as a professional designer by the NCIDQ, her professional work is varied and includes experiences in both residential and contract design. As an educator, her research focuses on the interaction of design, culture and pedagogy. She is a professional member of the Interior Design Educators Council (IDEC) serving that organization as Regional Chair, editor of both the Innovative Teaching Manual and the online version of the E-Record, Collaborative Coordinator for Teaching, and Director of Teaching and in 2014-15 as President. Professor Mohr received the Presidential Award as recognition of her contribution to IDEC in 2017.
