Drumming Summer Camp

An Introduction to basic hand/mind coordination using drums from around the world. Students will use pitched percussion and metallic instruments as enhancements while understanding CLAVE – the rhythm “key” of music.
Students will also specialize in meditational instruments to tap into intuitive rhythm. In addition, basic drum set grooves and beats will be performed/discussed using traditional drum kit, set-up of a snare drum, bass drum, cymbal including rock, jazz, and latin styles.
ALL instruments will be provided, but students should feel free to bring their own instruments.
