Professional historian, artist, and community activist Dana Saylor will bring her expertise to Villa Maria College’s campus in a talk on Tuesday, April 8. Her talk “Creative Placemaking: Changing Buffalo Through Art and History” draws on her varied experiences as a creative leader in Upstate New York.

Moving to Buffalo in 2008 from Central New York, Saylor co-founded Emerging Leaders in the Arts Buffalo, planned City of Night at Silo City, and has worked on numerous preservation efforts in the city. In addition writes a monthly column for Buffalo Spree magazine and is an adviser to the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
