Accumulate: Ani Hoover Exhibition @ Paul William Beltz Family Art Gallery, Villa Maria College | Buffalo | New York | United States

Ani Hoover is a contemporary artist from Buffalo, NY. The works selected for “Accumulate” represent Hoover’s decision making in artmaking since 2010. That year marked a change in her work from painting to collage, assemblage and ultimately to sculpture and fiber based work.  A thread that runs through all the works is a commitment to using simple and/or recycled materials, creative use of color and the use of multiple shapes or components in artmaking. Hoover tends to work in a modular fashion, where many pieces accumulate to make the art piece.  “Accumulate” is a survey of transitional works from her studio practice from the last six years.

The exhibition will be on display in Villa Maria College’s Paul William Beltz Family Art Gallery from Friday, October 21, 2016 until Friday, November 18, 2016. An opening reception will be held in Ani’s honor on October 21, 216 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

Villa Maria College is located at 240 Pine Ridge Road, Buffalo, NY 14225. The Paul William Beltz Family Art Gallery is located on the ground floor of the main building. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
