Professor Walp began working at Villa Maria College in 2011 as a part-time Art Shop Supervisor, and became a full-time faculty member in 2013. He holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from Rochester Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science from Mississippi State University.

Julie Zack
Assistant Professor (Graphic Design)
Professor Zack has been a part of the Villa Maria community since 2006. She earned a Master of Arts degree in Advertising Design from Syracuse University in 2008, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from SUNY Fredonia in 1994. She was honored with the 2020 Levy-Osborn Award for Excellence in Communications from AAF Buffalo, 2019 Outstanding Faculty Member from Villa Maria College, and numerous Addy Awards in 2017 for freelance design and collaborative work with White Bicycle. She served on the AAF Buffalo Board of Directors, has presented at teaching conferences, has published work multiple times, and maintains an active freelance career. Her commitment to effective design and the betterment of students is well documented.
