Call for Work: 24th Annual High School Juried Photography Exhibition

By February 20, 2018Photography

Villa Maria College’s Photography program is now accepting submission for its 24th Annual High School Juried Photography Exhibition.

Students from any grade level are encouraged to submit up to five pieces of mounted or framed work.

Last year’s call for entries resulted in a terrific response. The exhibition was well received; over $4400 in prizes were awarded, and the opening reception proved to be a great forum for both students and teachers. The enthusiasm expressed by teachers and the high quality of photographs produced has ensured a commitment to the success and strength of this exhibition. The entry fee is $1 per photograph, and the submission deadline is Friday, May 4, 2018. Each submission should be labeled with both the student and the teacher’s contact information.

Entries can be mailed to the following address:

Connie Broniszewski
Faculty Administrative Assistant
240 Pine Ridge Road
Buffalo, NY 14225

If you’d prefer to hand deliver submissions, you may do so in Connie’s office, which is located on the ground floor of the Main Building.

The exhibition will run from May 10-27 with an opening reception on Thursday, May 10 from 5:00-7:00 PM. The opening reception will give you the chance to meet and socialize with the Art Department Faculty (Photography, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Animation, Fashion Design and Fine Art) as well as with other High School teachers and students in the WNY area. Anyone interested in seeing Villa’s photo labs can join in on a tour.
