Villa Maria College Assistant Professor Adam Weekley celebrates the opening of his latest exhibition, “Drift” on Friday, January 31 at the Western New York Book Arts Center.

Conceived as a loose children’s book, “Drift” centers around issues of disconnect and ambiguity, both physical and emotional.

Weekley’s show is the first in the 12 x 14 series at WNYBAC, which features 5 artists over the course of 12 months. Every selected artist will also conduct a free hands-on workshop that will be open to the general public, as well as producing a print that measures 12″ x 14″ that will be compiled in an end-of-the-year, limited-edition portfolio at the WNYBAC.

Weekley is a multi-media artist and Assistant Professor of Fine Arts at Villa Maria College, who has lived and worked in Buffalo since 2001. Born and raised in West Virginia, he often mines personal history when developing imagery and content for his installations, sculptures, paintings and drawings.
