On September 26, 2008, many of the Interior Design students, the majority of them freshmen, and several professors attended the IIDEX/Neocon tradeshow in Toronto, Canada. The show consisted of over 350 exhibitors, each showcasing their latest products, with a focus on all areas of design, including workplace, retail, healthcare, residential, hospitality and sustainable design. After lunch at the well known Richtree Market in BCE Place, students went on a brief walking tour of the city and viewed designs by world renowned architects including Santiago Calatrava, I.M. Pei and Mies van der Rohe. The trip was a huge success! The students all agreed it was a great experience and an excellent introduction to the interior design field.
