Villa Maria College Interior Design Bachelor of Fine Arts program students (left to right) Rosalie Huffnagle, Sara Gleason and Christa Pijacki, display their Table scape design for the 31st annual Festival of Trees being held this year at Salvatore's Italian Gardens. The display will be up from November 24 until November 30, 2009. This is the fourth year that the Villa students have participated as designers in the event.

Villa's Interior Design profession encompasses many components: gathering client/user needs, space analysis, evaluation and planning, construction methods, materials and codes, drawing, drafting and rendering of plans, selecting colors, fabrics, furniture and writing specifications.

Villa's Interior Design Program stresses space planning and rendering skills to express visual ideas. Computer aided design (CAD) equipment is used by students at all levels. Additional coursework focuses on the history of interior design, furniture styles, and the business aspects of the profession.
