JOB DESCRIPTION
The BFA in Fashion Design and Merchandising program, in its second year, seeks a colleague eager to invest in the evolution of a growing program. Candidates should have experience in the fashion industry and knowledge of the global industry.
Teaching courses related to garment pattern design and construction, technical and computer-aided fashion and design/production. Responsibilities include student advisement, recruitment activities, and curriculum development.
QUALIFICATIONS
Preference given to candidates with an MA, MFA, or equivalent and teaching experience. Fashion industry experience required, international experience a plus.

Teach courses in all areas of the program including design theory, history, professional practice, materials, lighting, CAD, design studios, internship, hand drawing and digital presentations. Responsibilities also include participation in curriculum development and student advising. CIDA accreditation process currently underway. Service to college and community as well as attention to scholarly and creative activities expected for continuation.
QUALIFICATIONS
MFA, M. Arch., or comparable degree required; preference given for doctorate. Preference given for candidates with NCIDQ certification and college level teaching experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Full time director is responsible for hiring and supervising professional and peer tutors, assessing and responding to student and program needs, providing supervision of placement testing and working to establish appropriate testing and remedial programming. Additional responsibilities include overseeing academic status review each semester and working with students on probation. Responsible for working with the office for students with disabilities, records office, career development center, advising, and counseling.
The Director will give leadership to retention efforts, working directly with the faculty and academic staff. The Director reports directly to the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum qualifications: Master’s degree in developmental education, literacy, education, or related field and two years experience in higher education; preference given for experience with at-risk students.
