The Union Plus scholarships support our overall mission to help support union member and union leader higher education goals. Over 15 years, union members and their children have received over 2.8 million Union Plus scholarship dollars.

Administered by the Walmart Foundation, the Walton Family Foundation Scholarship is a $13,000 scholarship paid out over four years. Applicants must be dependents of Walmart associates, have at least a 22 ACT or 1030 SAT (Critical Reading + Math) score and prove financial need.
Qualifications: The applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Legal Resident of the United States; the dependent of an actively employed full-time Walmart Stores, Inc. Associate who has been employed for at least twelve consecutive months as of February 1, 2010. Dependents of Walmart Stores, Inc. Board of Directors and Dependents of Walmart Stores, Inc. The KFC Colonel's Scholars Program® is looking for high school seniors with entrepreneurial drive, strong perseverance, demonstrated financial need, and who want to pursue a college education at an accredited public institution in the state they reside.
The KFC Colonel’s Scholars Program is about you, your dreams and aspirations, and the perseverance to succeed. This program is offered to high school seniors planning to attend a public in-state college or university. Students who meet the criteria may apply online to become a KFC’s Colonel’s Scholar. Students selected for this scholarship are eligible to receive up to $20,000 to complete a bachelor’s degree program.

Every academic year, the McDonald's National Employee Scholarship Program selects one outstanding student-employee from each state and the District of Columbia to receive a $1,000 scholarship. In addition, the student-employee judged to demonstrate the highest commitment to school, work, and community service is selected to receive a special honor. He or she is named the "McScholar of the Year" and is awarded a $5,000 scholarship.
Qualifications: Must be currently employed by a U.S. McDonald’s restaurant and have at least four months of continuous employment at the time of application. Applicant must work a minimum of 15 hours per week and be an employee at the time the scholarship awards are announced.

The Subway Scholarship Fund was established through the Systems Advisory Council, a cooperative of Subway Franchisee Organizations, Development Agents, and the franchisor of Subway Restaurants to provide scholarships for employees of the corporation.
Qualifications: Applicants must be employed by Subway restaurants for at least six months prior to January 1st and working a minimum of 15 hours per week and have a cumulative G.P.A. of at least 2.75.

The NHCFAE-FEEA Scholarship Program is for current civilian federal employees who are members of NHCFAE and their dependent family members (spouse/child). Adult children and other relatives are eligible if claimed on the sponsoring employee’s tax return. The applicant or the applicant’s sponsoring federal employee must have at least three (3) years of civilian federal service by August 31, 2009.
Qualifications: All applicants must be current high school seniors or college students working toward an accredited degree and enrolled in a two or four year undergraduate, graduate or post graduate program. Applicants who are dependents must be full-time students. Applicants who are federal employees may be part-time students.
