The Program
Villa’s Business Management Program strives to develop mathematical, accounting, computer, and analytical skills. Further, it cultivates an understanding of the American economic system, cultural diversity and its implications in business and marketing, and the global economy. In addition, our business program is the first in Western New York to offer a specialized certification in entrepreneurial studies.
Business Management--which leads to careers in marketing, advertising, sales and distribution.

Liberal Arts
The liberal arts core, a combination of humanities, natural sciences and social sciences, essential to a solid career foundation, is required in all degree programs.
The liberal arts core for Business majors is 21 credit hours.
Employment Opportunities
Completion of an Associate Degree in Business is preparation for entry-level managerial positions in banks, insurance agencies, sales and marketing firms, and real estate organizations. Positions for graduates exist as retail buyers, advertising, sales and public relations personnel, telemarketing, human resources management and in-store operations.
Graduates who desire careers in accounting, finance, management or administration, and marketing are encouraged to continue their education at four-year institutions.

Special Program Notes
Business Management is available in the evening module degree program.
A Required Cooperative Education Internship in Business Management complements classroom instruction and provide students with practical work experience prior to entering the field.
Articulation agreements with Canisius College, Medaille College, St. Bonaventure University, and Hilbert College facilitate easy transfer for Villa Business graduates into four-year programs.
Students who have accumulated up to thirty credit hours through the American Institute of Banking (AIB) can transfer these credits to be applied to a degree program.
