Associate Degrees

Villa Maria College offers a number of associate degree programs in fields of study such as Business Administration, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Liberal Arts, Music, and Music (Business) and others.  Currently, we also offer the only Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program in Erie County. Our Interior Design program is also accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA).

Upon successful program completion the College will grant an Associate in Arts (A.A.), Associate in Science (A.S.), or Associate in Applied Science ( A.A.S.) degree.  A candidate for an associate degree must present a minimum of 60 undergraduate credits of which at least 30 must be completed at Villa Maria College. A cumulative grade point average of 2.00 is required for graduation, however, some programs may require a higher grade point average for graduation.

A student who holds an associate degree from Villa Maria College or another regionally accredited institution may pursue a second associate degree. Acceptable credits from the first degree may be applied to the second degree. In all cases, at least 30 additional credits will be required to complete the second associate degree, including all required courses in the program of study.

Please refer to the current program curricula in this section for further information.
