FALL/WINTER 2010 Programs

Music Play for Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers is a cooperative community education program of the University at Buffalo (UB) and Villa Maria College.  Classes begin Saturday,September 18 and run to November 20, 2010

Three Series Workshop Presented by the WNY Alzheimers Association. (1) Know the 10 Signs: Early Detection Matters, (2) Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer's Disease: The Basics, and (3) Memory Wellness Video. 
Classes begin Wednesday September 29th through October 13th, 2010.  A contribution of $5.00 is appreciated for each session.

Global Percussion Workshop - "The Rhythms of Music". Explore communication through the language of drums. No Experience necessary. Open to all ages.  Six Monday evening sessions. Starts October 18th to November 22, 2010.

Medical Office Technology Certificate Program is designed to prepare individuals with the fundamental concepts and practical application associated with the field of Medical Technology.  Our graduates will possess strong office skills combined with knowledge and instruction in medical terminology, insurance and medical billing, coding practices, medical math, and business communications, patient relations, and office practices. Graduates may seek employment in physicians ofices, clinics, laboratories, hospitals, group and specialty practices, health insurance offices and nursing homes. Our program consists of up to 150 hours of classroom instruction with an additional 40 hours in an optional medical internship program.  TBA

Advanced Medical Coding Certification Program is a 60 hour course designed to prepare students to take the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) national certification examination for Certified Professional Coders.  Course content includes coding resources, body systems , disease and treatment, pathology, and radiology.  Prospective students must have at least six months experience in the medical field and be familiar with anatomy and medical termnology. Non Profit Management Certificate Course is a comprehensive program that will examine the fundamental principles, guidelines, and the effective practices and strategies relative to the Non Profit Organization in the 21st centruy.   TBA
